Working Groups

MARS conducts some of its business within Working Groups, established as technology incubators for the larger Task Force to, e.g., explore specific technologies using RFIs, publish their findings as white papers, and prepare draft RFPs. Although they have no official standing within the OMG, they perform a valuable function for the TF. They are disbanded when their work is done or, if their work outgrows the confines of a TF WG, can be chartered as an independent SIG. Right now MARS has these active groups: High Performance Embedded Computing (HPEC) WG (wiki), Information Exchange Framework (IEF) WG (wiki), and Rich Internet Applications (RIA) WG.
