Working Groups

MARS conducts some of its business within Working Groups, established as a technology incubator for the larger Task Force to, e.g., explore specific technologies using RFIs, publish their findings as white papers, and prepare draft RFPs.  Although they have no official standing within the OMG, they perform a valuable function for the TF.  They are disbanded when their work is done or, if their work outgrows the confines of a TF WG,  can be chartered as an independent SIG.  Right now MARS has five: High Performance Embedded Computing (HPEC) WG (wiki), Information Exchange Framework (IEF) WG (wiki), IDL Profiling WG,  Rich Internet Applications (RIA) WG (wiki),  and Software Defined Networking (SDN) WG (wiki).

Email Lists:

The OMG maintains a number of email lists for our groups. Click here to view  the email list(s) which are pertinent to this group. Many lists are only open to members of the OMG.
